[OOC: This is a closed RP between Berto and I. If you want to join though, please PM me. ] Caamas- 1 BTCMuch to Sergeant Meshurik’s amusement, it seemed the Sith had a lot to learn about camouflage. Unlike the Republic Troopers, who all wore camouflaged armor, the Imperial Army did not bother with such things. Their principle is that what the enemy can see, they will soon fear. Indeed, the troopers of the Imperial 12th Infantry followed this to the letter, bearing bright heraldry on their black and red armor. The concept of fear, played a prominent role in the Sith society. They were rigidly disciplined, efficient, loyal and hard to break, simply because the fear present in them. Sith training schemes, as merciless as they were, culled the weak. Troopers of the 285th Infantry had an edge, and it was one they weren’t going to waste. Grizz lay prone, he lined up the shot up, assisted by his HUD, and the reticule illuminated that he had one hostile in his sights. It settled the Sith sergeant’s head within a small, narrow imaginary band level. Perfect for instant incapacitation, he was sure that not even the helmet can protect against a high powered blaster shot. Standing next to him, was a trooper clad in similar armor, indistinguishable from one another, except the slight difference in size and build. However, Grizz’s HUD picked up the electronic tally on his armor, and revealed the trooper’s identity. Berto. He read his file a while ago, and was surprised to find out that he managed to enter the academy when he was 16, younger than he had expected. The Private was new, just shipped out from the academy a week ago, and by then the 285th were shipping out after a long campaign. Commander Erik Valen, suggested Grizz take him along on his run to recon the area, noting that he was top of his group in scouting, marksmanship and tracking. Strangely, Grizz found out that the man had a penchant for heavy weaponry, despite his role as a scout. The Sith trooper squad were a small distance away from each other, far enough not to notice two sound and flash suppressed blaster bolts. He and Berto would have to switch targets and take out the other two soon after. They were overlooking the unsuspecting Sith, covered in masses of jungle growth. Even to a trained eye, it was hard to spot them. Grizz suspected Berto was ready; his steady breath was audible through the private commlink channel between them. Still, he thought it was best to ask. This was to be his first kill, and Grizz remembered the time he had his first target on his sights. He couldn’t pull the trigger, and when he did, it was a miss. Only through the quick thinking of his squadmates did he make it with only several stray shots to the shoulder. “Ready?”An acknowledgement light flickered in his HUD and he gripped his rifle harder. At this point, everything was silent; he was totally focused on his target. Still unaware of his coming doom, the Sergeant crouched to examine some specimen of animal, when Grizz pulled the trigger. The blaster rifle fired and a muffled bdapp was heard, as the bolt streaked towards its target. Easily penetrating through the helmet, the bolt slammed right into the Sith’s skull, killing him instantly.

| Berto, just fresh from the Republic Academy. This is his first mission, battle, campaign. Thinking back to his days in the academy and his arrival, Berto missed his friends. He was thinking about his friends and his old squadmates. He wondered that his old companions are in a good position. He remembered his training. He was good at scouting, sharpshooting and close-combat.Also he graudeted from academy at first place but still could not understand why this task was given to him.He was just a private and he has little experince about "real fight".He was good at killing training droids but this time he has to kill a real sith soldier. He was nervous but he is ready to accomplish any mission that republic gives him.
Enough thinking... He startled because of annoying sound of blaster rifle. He take a quick look to his sarge and the smoke coming out of sarge's rifle... "Here we go" he said then he looked through his scope. He caliberated then he took the shot. The sith soldier fell down in few seconds but for berto it was more than few minutes. He took a shot to other sith soldier but the blaster bolt missed the soldier.Berto cursed to himself. He took a new clip from his belt then he reloaded his rifle. He looked through his scope again...

Berto’s shot crippled the Sith soldier, Grizz admired the rookie’s accuracy. He himself immediately switched targets, assisted by his HUD, lined up another shot. This time, the two Sith soldiers looked around, wondering what happened and approaching their fallen teammates carefully. Grizz fired again; the trooper’s helmet was scored and pitted by the blaster bolt. As he fell, Berto took the shot. It did not reach its designated target however, and the Sith dived for cover. He then started firing in bursts, in the direction the shots were coming from. Taking a breath slowly he aimed again. Blaster bolts peppered the area around them, however not one struck their armor. Camouflage has its uses, he thought. Berto finished reloading, albeit nervously, and the Sergeant finished the trooper off with a round into his visor. He chuckled, and scanned the area, before deciding to move. Stowing his rifle, Grizz rose from his feet and took a moment to appreciate the corpses laying before them.
“Stay here while I take...‘inventory’ on the Sith soldiers.” Nodding towards the trooper, Grizz spoke again. His tone slightly softer than before, “Not bad rook, but you missed the second target.”
Not bad indeed, but Berto had a lot to learn if he wanted to stay alive through this campaign. Their orders were completed and the only thing left to do was retrieving any important information that can be gained. Grizz kept his rifle level to his side as he jumped down into the forest floor, signaling for Berto to provide covering fire if anything came near.
I’ll start with this, Grizz mused, as he wrenched a datapad from the dead man’s pouch.

"This time i wont make a mistake" he thought. Then he looked through his scope to sarge and dead soldiers.Once he felt sad about dead soldier but he thought "This was their choice and if we want to win this this war we couldnt show mercy"...
He looked through the area carefully to not make mistakes. Then he saw a moving bush few meters far from sarge.
"What the heck is that" He looked bushes again then he saw the truth carefully...There were two sith scouts "they must patroling" he taught. Then he quickly aimed one of them next he shot scout in chest.Scout fall to floor in few minutes.Other scout startled and saw his dead friend.Berto shouted to grizz from comm"SARGE!!!".Berto quickly aimed to other scout and shot him from his head.Scout falls...
Berto quickly reloads his rifle and checks around for more.
