Ocerus Skyborn was the son of a powerful shistavanen chieftan and Shistavanen priestess.. Ocerus being a shistavanen, a race of canine-like humanoids. His primal instincts make him very dog-like therefore an easy target to pick on. Troopers and smugglers don't exactly respect "mutts" they call him. Being discovered by male human jedi Thai lum maig, who had crash landed on Ocerus's home planet Lunaram IV. Master Thai lum maig's cruiser had been shot down by imperial destroyers, while searching for a place to rest Master Maig stumbled upon Ocerus's village. Master maig's soldiers entered the village armed, Ocerus's father didn't like that, he immediately ordered the village warriors to engage the foreigners. Maig's forces didn't stand a chance they were in unknown territory and the warriors they faced had been there their whole life. The remaining survivors of Maig's forces surrendered and were brought before the Chieftan. One of Maig's soldiers had hidden a pistol in his sleeve. The soldier readied the hidden pistol, he swung it out of his sleeve, finger on the trigger, he pulled the trigger...only to be pulled out of hands by an invisible energy force. A female shistavanen in the corner of the throneroom had pulled the pistol out of his hands with the force. She gave it to her cub sitting on her lap, who lifted the pistol again with the force and floated the pistol onto his father's lap, the chieftan. Master Maig's eyes lit up, he had discovered a force sensitive child! He told the chieftan and they worked out terms of agreement. Master Maig could take Ocerus to the temple to be trained, but in return Master Maig had to make sure Ocerus was okay. Then, republic reinforcements had come to extract Master Maig and as Maig left he brought Ocerus to the temple with him. That is the story of Ocerus Skyborn
